I found a red ear slider and named him Lucky. Here's his story. I have an in ground pool and in it there is one of those vacuum things that keeps it clean. So, I go out to check the catch basket or whatever you call it and there's this little quarter sized turtle at the botttom of it. He's totally dead, or so it appears. His head and legs are all flopping around. He'd been sucked up through the vacuum and hose and all. Anyhow, I bring him in and run fresh water over him for about 5 minutes and suddenly he starts twitching. Next thing I know he's alive. So cool. Anyway, that was like to years ago. He's now about the size of my hand and is the coolest red ear slider I've ever had. That's how he got the name Lucky.
