I have just read and signed the online petition:

  "Petition Against TechTV Layoffs and G4 Merger!"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself.

Why do you care? Well if you don't you missed out, It's that simple. TechTV was in many ways more than a TV Station to allot of people. If you didn't watch it you will never understand what I'm talking about and I feel sorry for you.

This is not just about losing TechTV. It's the way it was lost. TechTV was sold by Paul Allen to G4TV. We now see that G4 only got TechTV to fire all the staff and increase viewers. ITS FUCKING BULLSHIT AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

I used to watch the screen savers all the time. its too bad they cancelled it.

And "the screensavers" was never for the real geeks... Maybe just maybe the first season, but it started getting all "user friendly" from then on, more and more. When G4 merged with TechTV, they slammed the last nail into that couffin.

Doing nothing gets less done, and I would have to be a dumbass to think the petition itself is going to do anything. I'm thinking maybe some one who feels the same way will see the petition and get ahold of me and then grow from there until we have enough people to actually do something about paul, comcast and the assholes at g4.

I disagree with you. TSS had many segments that were for "real geeks" its was a good balance of simple and geeky stuff for a very long time. Only in maybe the last year, year and a half did the balance lean towards simple stuff that maybe they already talked about. But it was still a kick ass show. When patrick and kevin were hosting that was awesome. Also G4 never intended on keeping any of the shows except x-play. unscrewed was a maybe. G4TechTV will someday change the name back to G4, think about that.
