I know you guys have to hate me.

It's too easy, I know.

Anyway, yes, I have another idea.

The shroomery.org page that you initially come to is the first thing many newcomers will see. Could you admins consider adding color graphics or pics next to each item they could click on in the categories? It might sharpen the site up a bit. Not that it isn't good enough, just that it could maybe be a bit better than it already is.

Whatchya think?

Hehe, I was thinking that too - but I ended up interpreting this post as a request to redesign the entire front page to look more flashy on the whole... not just the six icons for the main categories.

I'm just saying it should be better than most comparative sites' frontpage. It should rival erowid.com 's frontpage. Theirs is really cool looking and its actually a simple setup too.
