Casing in fridge
    #3512552 - 12/17/04 07:17 AM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Hello

I heard that one can put his casing in the fridge when there is no space in fruiting chamber for example.
How long will the casing be fine in the fridge?

Is that the same for a colonized jar with WBS/RYE?

Thanks,
MF

Yes to slow down colonization you can put in the fridge to buy some time . How long , no very IMHO . The exposure to foods could give you troubles(some of us keep science projects in fridge ) , also the light going on and off could induce fruting .

Jars however IF kept dark can be stored in fridge for a couple of months if not more .

TripNd thanks once again!

I have a fridge standing in the garage. Maybe I can clean it and use that in case of emergency.

But since my latest WBS jars got wetspot it will take a while before I swim in spawn...
