My Little Terrarium (Pics)
    #3506054 -

Clear plastic top, I towel works great to darken everything up.

Vicks Ultrasonic Humidifier, 57 bucks. Won it for free in a game of dice.

CO2/water holes.

Humidifier turned up for effects.

Obviously cannot run for a log period of time.

Replacing the aquarium bubbler with a cool mist, and putting the ultrasonic on a timer would make the terrarium automatic.

Im thinking of putting a 4"x4" "blast shield" a couple inches infront of the hose output in the terrarium.

I've never grown on cakes before, and plan on birthing some in one or two days. Look for this setup in the grow log forum.

Comments, Questions please.

You might want to try sealing your ultrasonic input hose holes with a silicone based sealant. In my experience, duct tape is going to begin to come loose after a few days, when exposed to that kind of humidity.

Also, be sure to filter the air before it enters the humidifier in some way. Polyfill (among other things) is good for this.

Oh, and remember that the water filtration unit in the in the ultrasonic (if your model has one) needs to be change quite frequently. You should check the manufacturers website for maintainance info if you don't have the manual.

Other than that, it looks like you've got a good handle on what needs to be done. Good luck with your grow!

lol

The shroomery is a place where creative minds come and a day later everyone is using their idea. Nothing in my setup is original.

Im using epoxy on the outside, duct tape on the inside. Should I epoxy both sides? Was just looking for a short cut.

Fuck, forgot about filtering my humidifier air. TY.

My tap water is fairly clean, is my water filtration unit REALLY needed?

TY in advance.

You don't have to use it (I don't think. Not sure about the Vicks model) and I would suggest you don't use it as long as you change the water in the humidifier every day and add a bit of H202 to the water for a little extra saftey, y'know.

Oh, and it would still be a good idea to check the Vick's website for the maintainance schedule. I use a Holmes brand (Wal-Mart) ultrasonic and there is a daily and weekly maintainance schedule printed in the manual. They were very adamant about making sure it is very clean. That outta tell you how many contams a humidifier can host (due to the fact that they love water) if the manufacturer is worried about your safety in just breathing the humidified air.

What you should do is use aqarium glue.
It's like 5 bucks for a tube
But you have to let it set for like 48 hours

Nice setup! If I had it, I'd put 2 or 3 coffee fiters over the mason jar inside, slice 2 little slits and insert the 2 hoses.  Just as an added precaution and to keep them from falling out.  You could even put tape around the hoses where they enter the coffee filters.
