Uhhh, did I self promote myself or did I miss something?

I thought I had to wait... two months? before I had access to OTD, ODD, Marketplace, and Gathering forums? 'Cause I got them now, as of about half an hour ago, after I found an apparent work-around to get into them in the first place. So I think I might have self-promoted myself.

I find it hard to believe no one else has found this workaround before, if so, why hasn't it been fixed? I volunteer to fix it if there is no one else (I will give a resume on request).

That or I just all the sudden got access and I'm freakin' out... Gotta find that thread talking about the limits and check to make sure.

There is no limit on OTD anymore.

15 days? I've been here far longer than that. I could have sworn it was 40 posts && two months... Do you know of which topic I speak with the announcement? I'm having difficulty finding it.

It never has been 2 months.
It was 30 days and 40 posts for OTD and 20 days and 30 posts for the other forums at some point.
So what is the work-around you have been talking about?

Well, I've had 30 posts for quite some time and I've been here for more than 30 days. At least four hours ago, I was on the phone with suimush who asked me if I could see the other forums yet, as he was trying to direct me to some topic or other, and alas, I could not.

Then about an hour ago, I did show last posts in X time at the bottom, and just starting moving them out to tabs for reading.... I eventually noticed I had somehow stumbled into ODD.

But from what you're saying, I should have been able to see it sooner... So either something was holding me back and doing that triggered it to roll over properly, or like I was thinking when posting the topic, it's a bit longer in time and I got through (but also, like I was thinking when posting, I find it hard to believe something so simple could have been overlooked for so long).

Anywho, I guess I'll just chalk this one up under oddities.

The way the promotion works is the following:
When you make a post or reply, the script checks if you already have access to the above forums. If not, it checks if you fulfill the above requirements, and if this is the case, it promotes you.
