Mycelium on sides of casing

I noticed some mycelium growing on the sides of my casing where no visible signs of substrate or casing layer are present
[ ] --- Area where mycelium is growing (on sides)
[|||||||||||||||] --- casing layer
[|||||||||||||] --- Cumbled Cakes
[||||||||||] ---- Verm layer


Is this a problem? seems a little odd cause there is no mycelium on the top casing layer in that area

how come your verm layer isnt as long as your cake layer or sasing layer? i havent cased yet im about to im just trying to find out......i thought they were all the same length on top of each other. Or is that just an example and im a complete idiot?

Cause I used a pan that was shaped sorta like a mixing bowl.. or the circular tinfoil things you get take out chinese food in..
