I need some new friends.

My friends at the moment have NOTHING in common with me. Mushrooms, music, films etc. My 'close' friends and I organized a night out in a restaurant, and now I have just found out that they have decided to invite other people along who I hardly know!

I just told my friend what I thought and all he said was 'Oh well' and changed the conversation.

I'm getting really fed-up of them.

I know exactly what you mean man. I just moved out to Los Angeles, and I all my friends, except for one, are sober. It just takes time I guess. I wish I had the large group of friends that I would shroom and smoke with in chicago.

f those people you hardly knew were also friends of them maybe they were cool people only you just have to open up a little maybe?
but if you really have nothing in common with your friends then you should meet other people. there are plenty of people who share your interests! :cool:

On the subject of friends, here's a little story. It doesn't really have much relevance here but it came to mind and it's pretty funny so here it is...

A little bird is flying south for the winter but he's a little late. It gets too cold for him, his wings start to freeze and he falls to the earth. As he lay there dying, a dog comes along and takes a huge shit on him. After a short time the warm pile of shit starts to defrost the little bird. He soon realizes he's not going to die and begins to sing aloud. A nearby cat hears him and comes to pull him out of the shit. The cat then promplty devours the little bird.

The moral of the story?

Not everyone that shits on you is your enemy, not everyone that helps you out of some shit is your friend, and when you're warm and happy in a world of shit, keep your damn mouth shut. :grin:

Like I said, not much relevance to your post but maybe it will make you laugh a bit and brighten your day a little. :wink:

totally understand i live what sometimes feels like a completely other country--- (have friends but not close ones and very few understand)-- somtimes i miss the north
