How much Pedro Juice to drink?

Last night i chopped up about 8.5ft. of SaN pedro. Blended, boiled three hours, strained, reboiled three hours, strained, then with the remaining liquid, i set the stove to the lowest flame and let it simmer off over night for about 8 hours. Well after all that all that is left is about 10oz. of pedro syrup. I figured that amount of cactus would be about 4 doses. Does this seem about right? Will 2.5 oz of juice get us off, or should we split this between less people. thanks

For me a good solid dose is 1 to 1,5 feet. I'm a lightweight though.

If you haven't tried this one pedro before i'd recommend you start with the corresponding to 1 foot of cactus. Making aproximately 1/8 of your extract 1 dose.

I'd say 1.5 - 2 feet of 3-4" thick Pedro is good, but if you only boiled twice you probably didn't get it all out. Taste the leftover pulp, if it still tastes bitter there's still some goodies in there.

Tasted the pulp, and there was no taste left, very minimal if any.

2.5-3 oz is probably a good dose. :smile:
