I posted this somewhere else for some other reason but I think it can stand on it's own here. --------snip------------ Or you could take two temperature readings....one with a wet(use room temperature water) piece of cotton tied to the bulb and one with a dry thermometer. as described here. http://www.warren-wilson.edu/~physics/PhysSci/humidity_Pressure/RelHumidity.htm and compare the results on the table here. http://www.warren-wilson.edu/%7Ephysics/PhysSci/humidity_Pressure/Rel_Humidity_Table.htm --------------snip------------ When taking the temp in a fruiting chamber use a little battery powered fan to blow on the wet bulb's sock...and the water you use for the sock must be the temp that the grow chamber/incubator is.Put a small jar of water in it beforehand and let it's temperature get to that of the chamber's.You can use the same thermometer for both readings or use two thermometers at the same time. But make sure they are both accurate or it'll screw up the reading.

You can also find psychometers on e-bay I've gotten a few for around $20-35 each well worth the investment also replaces the need for a hygrometer and very accurate at high RH whereas hygrometers become less accurate unless you happen to spent the money for a high quality one Note: don't buy a swing psychometer as they work differently.

Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
