Pink Mold??

k, dunno if its a mold or not but in ONE of my cakes there's a small area where its got a pink color where a few seeds from the cake are touching the glass. The cake is like 95% colonized and almost ready to be cased. The cakes are made of Pennington's Finch Seed and a little whole wheat flour. None of my other cakes have any contaminations and I'm not even sure this is a contam... if it is, its very small and I think the mycelium could overcome it. I might case this cake by itself as a precaution though. Anyway, I haven't ever seen this pink stuff before. The only contams I've ever had is some Thick, pale green (but solid) mold on my vermiculite layer that has spread to the cake and every now and then cobweb mold on the vermiculite. The pink stuff is only in one small spot and towards the bottom of the cake, no other signs of it anywhere.

I just read some other post talking about an orangish "mold" or something and someone suggested that it could be mycelium excrement if its not growing.... this stuff isn't growing, and the color of the stuff is a "pinkish orangish redish" color, heh. Anyway, any info is appreciated

I have had slimy bright pink mold growing on old cakes, it's the sickliest looking contam I've ever seen.
