Green Oysters and Others

Here are a few photos of recent finds.

[Panellus serotinus]
I tried these tonight sauteed in butter and garlic. They weren't bad.

[Galerina autumnalis]
The wavy caps and dark bases make these look similar to the P. cyanescens that people have been posting lately, though they are clearly distinguished by the the orange ring.

A lone Psathyrella with exposed mycelium.

[Tubaria furfuracea, I think]
These were growing from Cyprus mulch in an asparagus bed.

[Schizophyllum commune]
Common split-gill.

Not sure about these guys. Clitocybe maybe.

[Clitocybe nuda]
Re-post, because I like this photo.

[Deformed mushroom]
Not sure about this one either. There were quite a few of these popping out from under the leaves. They ranged in color from gray to greenish to pinkish/orangish white. Tricholoma maybe?

Peace.

Thanks Gumby.

I think that first pic is the best one I've ever taken.

Pretty stuff.

Given the habitat on the Clitocybe-like ones, my first thought was something near Xeromphalina campanella. There are a pile of genera there such as Opmhalina, Rickenella, and Gerronema that all have similar looking species. There are also several Hygrophorus species that look quite bit like those.

Seeing the base of the stem (you have to dig them up to get all the base of the stem) is critical in identifying them.

Happy mushrooming!
