Bellevue, WA - Chants, Oysters, Puffballs, Giant Clitocybes
    #3146053 - 09/17/04 12:27 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Chantrelles, Oysters, Puffballs, Clitocybe Gigantea.

Found all of these this evening, as well as many others, including a couple of different Amanitas.

The rains are making things explode!
Also found various Boletus and Russula.

The other day in seattle, I was able to find some Agaricus Augustus.

Edibles are everywhere in the P-N-DUB!

Seattle can be confusing, but so can any place that you are unfamiliar with.  I had a hell of a time when I first moved up here.

As far as the chants....ya just have to keep your eyes open for them.  We went for  a hike out in a wooded area.  They were on the side of a trail.  Didn't find any of the edibles for miles.  Then all of a sudden, they all started showing up.

I don't know any tricks for finding them.  Light didn't seem to make a difference.  We only found them in one spot and that was it.
It was my first time finding Chants.
