casing questions
    #343440 - 06/18/01 10:14 AM (15 years, 8 months ago)

REcently my pet dog started his casing, he started to notice really whispy whitish growth peaking through. Is this the mycellium, or could it be cob web mold. THe casings still smell pretty earthy so my dog is hoping it is mycellium. The only thing that has doubted him is the whispy growth. Also he did take great strides to sterilize.

Sounds like it's thin mycellium. You're well on your way...

In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, people take prozac to make it normal.

Re: "Chapter VIII Link"...
Anyone especially beginners like myself who plan on doing any casing will find this extremely helpful and informative.
Thanx Anno...

This was taken from the book "The Mushroom Cultivator" by Paul Stamets.
I would advise anyone who attempts serious growing buying this book.

But of course some people will still ask the same questions over and over rather than read the information for themselves.
