Casing Question

This is a foaf first time growing and he has the choice between using coconut fiber or peat moss/oyster shell for a casing layer, and he was wanting to know which one gives better yields, less contams. he's going to start growing p.cubensis on birdseed/brf/verm substrate. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Both should work well, I mainly use 50/50+ casing.
