Anyone heard from Sporechicks in the last week? Sent them 2 emails about a problem with my order this week and no response(s).

Just be patient, the SporeChicks are a very reliable vendor and you will get your spores. PATIENCE! :) Im sure if they aren't replying to your email they have a reason. Dont worry man, you didnt get ripped off

I am not short on patience...in fact I was the one in earlier posts advising others to be patient with their orders with Sporechicks. Yes I know their reputable and I'm not a child...it would take alot for me to claim someone "ripped me off". I'm just wondering if their email service is down again or what. Their replys have usually been same day when emailing them in the recent past and it has now been several days and 2 emails on my part.

On May 21st I sent my order
On June 4th I emailed them
On June 5th they responded saying they got my order and should arive by weeks end
On June 11th I emailed them again and still no response
I ordered from them because their web page said they had same day delivery (I well understand this doesnt mean I'll get it the same day). I also ordered from them because this site says they are "highly recommended". I think I should have my B and Thai strains by now according to the info I've been given. This is my first time doing this, so I'm getting pretty sceptical about this whole deal.
And its not the fact that I'm not counting on seeing my spores, Its the worry of participating in something this illegal and it didn't go thru (i'm well aware that spores are legal, but think about it). I mean, for all I know this board and all the sponsors are some big elaborate plan to infiltrate and bust on mind expanding chemical users like myself (i'm not a criminal dammit). I gave my address and everything. They should be busting my door down any day now.
I'm a little worried too. :|

I wouldn't worry about things like that...most everyone here is legit...though you should have no doubt that some cops(PIGS)/DEA guys hang around here. It is VERY doubtfull any of them are spore vendors however. Still I would never ever post real names,addys, etc. on this or any other boards like it. Spores are LEGAL in all states except California but who knows the oinkers may decide to "watch" someone based upon the experimental materials ordered from a vendor...they will screw you if at all possible in my experience so never post real info in public. I would not worry about giving your mailing addy to a vendor for an order though. The legal system of the United States NEEDS A G/D ENEMA!
I myself am just wondering where my order is as it has been several weeks(since late May like yourself) and I was told it was (re)sent middle of last week supposedly. I've already sent another order this time to Hawk's Eye...I should hope I get my Sporechicks order long before I get theirs.
I expect since you have gotten no reply either as yet that they are having yet more troubles with their email service...who knows. Anybody?

Spore chicks are very dependable. They have moved and are very back logged on e-mails and cannot respond back to everyone. During this time it took them almost 3 wks to get me my spores which i got. The spores were very good which is typical of them.
!!!!! One thing to remember most spore vendors have real jobs and do spore trading on the side. If you are that desperate for your spores then you should take prints of every crop you harvest for rainy days. If you don't then your problem. I feel sporechicks rule and are very legit...

I never questioned their rep. and am well aware of their move. I am also aware some vendors do this as a side job....I am not ignorant of these things. There is no need to "defend" them from my post. I was asking if anyone has been in recent contact with them. I had thought they were back up to speed as they stated and I am a bit worried about the time which is now going on 4 weeks without any sign of my order. As soon as I get my order they have my thanks. As for making my own...I am aware of that procedure as well . Do not assume however that everyone can do this effectively or that everyone has had a prior crop of illegal mushrooms to do so with. If everyone made their own syringes and prints there would be no need for vendors in the first place. Many find it easier to just order syringes that are guaranteed to be viable. :)>

Sorry for the strong post. Damn 4 wks is quite long I hope you did not order too much if they may have screwed up the order. I like the quality of spore chicks products and support that but they should have made it clear to everyone that orders will be slow. I hope they can make all their orders and if they can't they will become unreliable. Well Good Luck. They never returned my e-mails. Just wait and see. If you need spores try another vendor for now. :)

I also sent out an order about 2.5 weeks ago..... emailed twice with no response... On there web site it says orders are shipped out the day they are received.... but I don't think this is the case.
Hope they come soon, but as a back up measure I ordered from Ryche also last week...... for some strang reason I feel like I am going to get ryches first, but I will let you know.

I made a smaller order from Hawk's Eye as well a few days ago. I would really very much like my large order from Sporechicks though. WHERE ARE YOU SPORECHICKS? Jesus Bananas is your email service down again?? I'd switch ISP's if I were you all if so. Such things aren't good for buisness...

I ordered from them a while back when they had the problems with moving and all... I got my order back exactly 3 weeks after ordering it. Not the quickest service, but everyone falls behind. The chicks have been behind for a little while now though... hopefully they can sort there problems out because I think they've got a nice business aside from the fact they've been behind for a little while.

*sighs* I just hope they don't decide to leave the buisness with my order. T'would be my luck...first order to ANY vendor and they decide to go out of buisness. No response to emails from apparently several individuals including me now for over a week. It isn't looking good.

This has been an off and on issue now with them for a couple months. Bottom line is if you run a buisness, the customer doesnt wait on you, you wait on the customer. I dont agree with the buisness on the side crap. If thats what it is, then say so on the site. If you build a rep of fast reliable service and post on your website "same day" shipping, then isnt that whats expected? Im waiting myself to see if they pull out of this and I hope they do. My last order from PF a month ago took 1 week exactly.

Hmmm... when I first started cultivating, 2 yrs. ago, I searched around for a spore source and went with SporeChicks. They were very new at the time from my understanding. But I had a great print back within the week. My guess is they are just like any great small business; being overwhellmed and need to hire some help ;-)

Starting the 4th week now. Nothing in the mail. Let us know if you ever get ahold of them. If this week passes with nothing I geuss I can count myself truly screwed.

As of today I too have waited 4 weeks. I'm with you GC, I'm pretty sure if they don't arrive by the end of this week we're pretty much screwed. Boy its nice to get screwed the first time around. I guess its a sign that I should just not bother with this stuff.
The irony is that I was gonna order from Hawkseye but changed at the last minute because Sporechicks site said same day delivery.

I wouldn't stop wanting to grow mushrooms just cause I screwed up and picked a spore vendor that wasn't on top of there stuff.... any newbies not wanting to pay a lot of money to find out wether they want to start growing shrooms or not should run over to the FSR and pick up one of the $1 prints.... not a big risk, ralphster is usually on top of things also. You should check up with vendors (send an email double checking that the inventory is correct on there spores page and to make sure they're running smooth) and check msg boards and stuff. The chicks have (had?) a good reputation for there spores... they've just fallen behind, hopefully they'll get back on top of things. Until they do... check out the other vendors.

No one just screwed up and chose a vendor that wasn't on top. SporeChicks came highly recommended at the time of my order at least and I expected a quick delivery as stated on their website. About FSR prints...aye they are $1 a print...cheap, but you have to make your own syringes ...something which a "newbie" may have trouble doing effectively. Plus the fact they then have to locate empty syringes on a vendor page or at a feed store( if there is one in the area) and buy them. It just makes another possible step for failure if your a "newbie". Aye you can try try again if you screw up... I'm sure after some experience making syringes and such becomes a cakewalk, but it may not be a cakewalk for a "newbie". It just seems to be an extra pain in the ass to me that increases risks for a new cultivator. I've seen experienced growers on these boards ordering syringes...what keeps them from making their own ? :)>
