Is anyone buying this game? I was on the beta testing for a week and a bit and enjoyed it immensly. Its my first time playing this kind of game and I found it a bit addicting, now I'm seriously thinking about buying at and paying monthly to play.
Did anyone else get into the beta or are planning to buy it?

I missed out on the beta by a few hours. Looks like a great game, but $15 a month, thats pretty harsh. Maybe if i get a decent job I'd play.

get everquest 2 instead....... its more fun and there's already a bunch of shroomerites playing on the same server (Guk).

I beta tested to and they got me hooked. I am totally buying it tuesday on my way home from class.
THere should be some major collaboration done to get everyone cool on the same realm.
Ima be an UD warlock, i think i wanna be a tailor and herbalist  .

^^^ lots of people still play diablo. dont underestimate blizzard's fanbase. I dont think they have made a game that wasnt game of the year.
I started with war2 on kali ipx emulation when i was in 7th grade. That was ughhh.....8 years ago. So i have been warcraft influenced for a while and now this hrmm.. I hated EQ and thouight it was lame but this changed how i felt about them types of games .

What specifically do you mean EQ 2 has more depth, I'm very new to this type of gaming and am curious to hear more about EQ2.
Although looking at the screenshots I so far am not blown away by it

My Collector's Edition copy is reserved for Tuesday, you know what I'll be doin all night!  As for EQ2, heard nothing but complaints but haven't played myself. I'm content with WoW..

"EQ2 has more depth" is misleading. EQ2 has more timesinks. It takes longer to get to the same level of greatness than it does in WoW. If you want more timesinks, play EQ2. If you want to go on fast paced quests and reach level 60 in a reasonable amount of time and then go PvP, play WoW. EQ2 doesn't even have PvP thereby destroying any sense of endgame playability.
WoW has more depth.
I'm buying it. Let's all play on the same server!

I played the beta, loved it more then any mmorpg ive ever played. i know tons of people that are playing it, im gonne be on the horde, orc rogue.

I played open and closed beta and i love it! I have it pre ordered and me and my friends have already set up a LAN at my place for some WoW action come Tuesday.
I'm going to play a dwarf warrior. I played a pally and a gnome warrior in beta. I'm switching to dwarf since they look allot cooler in plate armor then gnomes even though gnomes pwn for pvp.
I'm still furious about the warrior nerf but I'm starting to adjust. I love that game.

If I had $50 or so to blow, I'd get it, just to see how it is. Unfortunately, I don't. I imagine it's going to be filled with socially retarded and angry 14 year olds, though, much like most MMORPG's anyway...

i used to play Ultima Online waaay back in the day. haven't really played any computer games since, other than a bit of Warcraft 3, and a couple of nights of Counter Strike when we had a big LAN set up... I'll have to check out WoW... but that'll require buying a new computer

paying monthly is where i draw teh line. its enought to pay 1-3k for a computers and 30-80 for a game, never mond the time it takes up. its liek a mortgage with nothign to show for after. my take on it. is a bitching game though no doubt.

by depth I just mean eq2 has more *stuff*
WoW is definately a more casual game, and even penalizes you for playing long stints (you have to "rest" at an inn perdically or you start getting less xp). EQ2 just seems to have more classes, items, quests, etc. If you want a game that you could explore forever, go with EQ. If you want a more diablo style, casual game, get WoW. I'm kind of a hardcore MMO kiddie so I go with EQ.
Also, while it doesnt have PVP yet, they claim they are planning on implementing it in an expansion pack (depending on who you ask). I believe the monthly fee is about the same as WoW.
basically..... EQ2 = more complex, bigger time investment.... WoW = better for casual players, but with less content
