If you had the choice to move anywhere...
    #3386211 -

I was born and raised in Western NY (southern tier). It is so beautiful there, so, in fact that I'm prolly heading back in the spring.
But the PNW is sooo tempting, I think it's twice as beautiful.
Both are equally potential for me right now.
Aussie looks nice too, BTW.
I'm not looking for advice, I just thought it would be cool to hear where some of ya'll would like to go if you had a choice, so....
peace...

ALASKA until I was 50 or until my bones hurt to much from the cold

Then I would move to NEW ZELAND with yearly trips to HAWAII

Hawaii is very very nice. I definately would not mind moving there.
Live away from the cities...

I remember I was on.. Maui? island.. (I was young when I went) and the sun was setting and there were these huge fields. It was just so amazing

sunsets are amazing there.

From what I understand it used to be very hard for a Mainlander to move there. The locals treated them very bad. But now they are the minority so they havent got much to say.

Opps the monitor just started breathing time to go outside now. LOL

new zealand accepts close to no people as new citizens.  Id say you have about a .0001% chance of ever realy living there legaly.  sorry to burst your bubble.

if i could move anywhere, id move to manitoba area of canada, or nova scotia area.  Or maybe southern italy

Having visited and fallen in love with Western NY over the Fourth of July this year, I would definitely love to live there but only with the man of my dreams....

Maybe I should just go on a road trip and never come back just live out of my car for the rest of my life and follow a couple of good bands around. That'd be pretty awesome.

IMHO Jay, I think those days left with Jerry.
We used to go on tour 5-9 shows, get a ton of can beer and ice, just hang out in dead city, abide the barter system. It always ended up I just about broke even. I knew alot of heads that actually did what you are suggesting, it worked.
I don't see that happening annymore.
anyone?

It appears it is rather difficult to get into New Zealand. Unless you can find a company willing to give you a good job there, your chances are pretty slim. And the chances of getting a good job as a foreigner aren't all that great. I'm still gonna try my best anyways. A good education and some solid work experience will certainly increase your odds. They got an awesome country there, and I think they want to keep it that way by limiting the influx of unnecessary people. Unless you have something to offer that will be beneficial for the country, you don't have much chance to get in.

If I could live anywhere, I'd choose either Amsterdam or Switzerland. If I could live anywhere in the Western Hemisphere, I'd choose Vancouver. If I could live anywhere in the US, I'd choose either Seattle, San Francisco, or Phoenix.

I'd probably live either somewhere near Vancouver, BC, though not in it as I don't like cities, somewhere chilled out in Oregon, or a less populated spot somewhere in Hawaii.
