looks almost a bit like a gymnopilus spectabilus but it isnt. the gills are the wrong color. :( caps the wrong color too, but its the right shape :)

Did you try looking in a book?
A mushroom that size and coulorful should be easy to find with a bit of research.

Try page 729 of your Audubon guide.

A hint as to where on this planet you live might help a little also.

Anno mentioned that these might be Wine cap Stropharia too.I just want to be sure. Are there any poisonious look-alikes?
