no window no special lighting? flouros ok? lots will grow under a simple few flouro setup, wont get the speed many do but they will grow. outside you could do poppies, very common. inside under a couple flouros you could do anything really. salvia would probably do teh best. i got withania and heimia growing pretty good under 2 compact flouros. wormwood does good but slpw under these lights. its really up to you many plants will live under little light. just grow real slow.

No, no flouros.  I just want them to be decorative, no intrusive growing setup, just plants that compliment the room.  Just a few to throw on some shelves.  I have a bar that would rock with some vines.  Are there any ethno vines?  It doesnt HAVE to be ethnos, but I would prefer it.  Even though I dont plan on consuming them, it would be nice to have the option.  Know what I mean?  As for cacti, like San Pedro, Peruvian Torch, peyote and such?  I have the means to obtain live peyote, so that one would be cool.  Would that work in a basement?

If you want your plants to be attractive they need adequate growing conditions unlike the one you describe!!!

Why cant u have floros.. Iv got like 4 in my living room for my plants.. they still accent hte room,

There is not much space for plants, only on shelves, and the bar I mentioned.  Just seeing what you guys would do in this situation.  I just noticed a little nook where a computer desk is set up.  I could possibly put something in there, as I dont ever use it.  Hmmmm... maybe flouros are not out of the question...  Thanks for all your replies so far.

If you installed some floro fixtures above your bar you could start some HBW's and row them to 6-9 feet outdoors then bring them in and wrap them around the bar. They'll grow real slow though but thats good so you dont have to trim often. Cacti would be your best bet but they should be near a window for winter then outside for summer.

I dont think very much will grow in a basement with little light as you describe. An ethno vine would be morning glory but I doubt it will grow in your conditions.
