Would it harm cakes/honey if I blow air on to them, to help balance the temp ?

i dont understand exactly how this will balance any temp but ill tell you your mouth is full of bacteria, and you increase your chances of contam if you blow directly on them.

lol, I think he means with a fan.
It generally is undesirable because it will increase evaporation from the cakes, even if ever so slightly.

you are trying to lower the temp while they are colonizing with mycelium?

Cut holes in both sides of the terrarium, cover them with a filter, then fan into one.

why are you trying to lower the temp the ideal temp is 86F. with my limited knowledge i bet you are going to tell me you have a strain that likes it cold. or scenario 2 you are trying to make it slow cause you wont be home for a week.

Someone needs to read through the teks again.
Just to reiterate, 84-86?F is the optimum incubation temp.
74-76?F is the optimum fruiting temp.

Turn the pad down if you can, if the temperature keeps rising. Open the case up a little more if you still can't keep temps right.
