Why is it still around five hundred? I want one, but would like for the price to drop. When do you think that it will drop to a somewhat lower price?

Not true, the Supply/Demand of these high end video cards is still nuts. Last i checked ATI can't keep most of their cards stocked at online vendors. Once demand drops off(probably after christmas) prices should go along with it. And obviously when a more powerful card comes out it will also drop.

With HL2 rolling out the door don't expect vid card prices to fall until after the new year.
