okay so herest he update, after 2 days of practice i am able to blow functioning bowls, they dont lok to good but they work. the next step is adding colors. damn this is cool stuff.

Very cool man, after watching a few blowers, I really want to give it a try but it isn't in my budget.

yeah for some reason i thought it was a good idea to shell out about $700 to get started, i hope i get good enough at this so that eventually i can make pieces and sell them at shows in lots across the country.

I have an OXY ACETELENE welding torch...I tried melting glass but when it cooled it went all cracked.can that setup be used for doing glass stuff?
Big tanks full sized rig.cutting head ect. up to #9 tip size I think made by liquid air.

oxy acetaline will not work, glass blowing involves oxy and propane. yeah as soon as i get ahold of a digi cam ill post some pics, i made a tight bowl today, nothing to write home about yet though, but i can smoke out of em all.

Well when it rained it would slip but other than that it was great....wouldn't want to ride in the rain anyway.
chain drive is a good way to go but to get a good ratio you need a really big gear(wheel) and a very small gear(engine).
I wanted quick cheap and reliable.everything is a compromise in some way when you make a scooter.
