second flush green spot

im awaiting my second flush and noticed a small green spot 2 days ago.my casing consists of like 6-8 crumbled cakes and is fairly large, about12x6, so would i be able to cut out that part, and if so what should use to fill the hole?? also it hasnt gotten any bigger within the past few days so im thinkin it might be dead. i dunno what do u all think?? thnx again

Cut an inch around the spot and take it out ... singe the sides with a soldering(sp?) iron to singe the sides of the hole and leave it there.... peace

you should cut out that part, 1in might be overkill, so just enough to remove all green, get a torch or lighter and flame the area for a few secs and spry you terr w/ h20/h202 mix.

should be fine then

sweet i give it a try 2night, what about that hole thats gonna be there, should i go down to the bottom of the casing?, should i fill the hole with moist verm? thnx you all rock!

i dont suggest "flaming" it's really dangerous... if you use a soldering iron you should do fine ... once you cut it out the hole should go all the way down to the bottom. you can fill it with some verm or per but nothing should grow in there anyway since the sides have been singed/cauterized;).... peace

well use you judgement, personnally i just get the green stuff off, make sure there isn't any thing even resembling green, and then flame, ( i don't know what the other guy is talking about it being dangerous) plus using a s-iron your not getting it all(surface area) plus you pushing casing material and exposing it. Well everyone has there own method. I never had problems with my method and unless the contams have already taken over the casing you shouldn't see anymore problems. And once thats done either fill the hole w\ like you said moist verm. or any left over casing material, just make sure its sterialized.
