WHY?! (looking for some possible reasons)(for a website i'm writing)

Can you give up some growth parameters?
Cakes? Casing? Temp? Humidity? Are they growing up or leaning over and touching the casing.

slices of cakes (these are lone survivors of a parental invasion...2 slices, 1cm thick) sitting directly on perlite in a 1 gallon jug.
yes some are leaning--
caps of ones with peticularly small ones are slightly black--not aborts though
also--the base of almost all shrooms are fuzzy wuzzy like a bee is buzzy
