The Grateful Dead

A buddy on mine's dad told us that when he was following the Dead around the country he use dto drop acid in his eyes. Is this true? I am NOT planning on doing this i was just wondering if maybe this would actuall work.

I've never seen it done, but I do know that LSD is very easily absorbed through your skin and your eyeballs are very sensitive tissue, so I would imagine dropping liquid LSD into your eyeballs would be quite effective.

ive heard of people sticking paper hits of acid to the underside of your eyelid...ive also heard of people sticking it in their ass.. i think with LSD it really doest matter how you take it...it'll absorb

I'm under the impression that only pure LSD-25 can be absorbed through the skin and was told in a previous post.. god knows how long ago that LSD soaking through someone's skin while holding blotter hits in their hand was complete bullshit.

Anyone have any comments on that? Is it a rumor or not? Chinacat is the one I want to hear from most on this.

and then it rolled down my cheek.

I still got high.

though, it didn't give me *better visuals* like the
moron who suggested it indicated it would.

Yeah, I was very accustomed to lucy when i met the dead. At first we would look for hits, after awhile we noticed more ppl w/ visine bottles, so we started to carry a napkin in our hands, so any body walking by would no what we were looking for. After awhile, forget the napkins, just put it in your eye :crazy2:
Ive never had as many halucinations as that way, and at a dead show combined  with the delusions all seemed to add to the visuals.
I have also heard hearsay that Jimmi would put hits under his bandanna, so he never really knew exactly when it was gonna hit.
Anybody else heard that?

Jimi Hendrix put a blotter under his bandana at woodstock, as accounted by a actual person in a documentary (i believe the promoters of original woodstock but i'm not sure). I think he just did it that one time and it blew up to be a rumour that he did it all the time. Well half of the jimi hendrix pictures I have he's not wearing a bandana. I think he just did it that one time, and who knows if it worked. I'm sure he barely even really knew. But I am skeptical to any type of LSD other then pure LSD crystal would absorb through the skin.

Oh and this kid I went to school with used to drop it in his eye and seriously damaged his eye from it because of the alcohol (which liquid LSD is over 99% alcohol you know...) He claimed he tripped however. :tongue:

i think he's referring to the fact that LSD crystal is usually dissolved in something such as Everclear. I guess it would hurt your eye if you poured a lot of everclear in it - but one or two drops, it should be ok, yeah?

i dunno... i think the tongue is a good enough place to drop your LSD :smile:

I've heard he would put a cut in his forehead and than apply the bandand for absorbtion, but hell I heard that from a very unreliable source.

You should not be skeptical about absorbing acid through your skin. I had a bad experience with gel tabs in which I was tripping and trying to cut sheets with sweaty hands and they were sticking to me. I couldnt get them off. It was horrible. Dont be skeptical.

A drop of alchohol would burn like all hades in your eye....imagine the burn from a drop on a very small nick, and multiply it by a thousand.

But I don't think alcohol is a very common solvent for dissolving crystal.

I have put it in my eye, it works good. But, some good answers here, i dont think i'll ever do it again, especially after reading thoughout this whole site.
