store bought shit
    #334015 - 06/04/01 11:56 AM (23 years, 3 months ago)

I bought a 10 lb bag of cow manure at my local farm supply. Do I need to pastuerize it before use?

How do you go about doing that? I think its like this
Take a pillowcase and put in a large pot. Fold the sides over the edge of the pot. Fill halfway with shit. Then what?

junkie.. I dont think steam sterilising would suffice.

G-nome.. yes. put your shit inside a pillowcase inside a large pot. Turn your heat on high. Put one of those floating thermometers you use for brewing beer in your pot. when the temp gets to about 155 lower the heat. when the heat rises to 162 lower it more. Try to stabilise the heat here at 162-165. Keep it here as long as you can. At least 90 mins.

I'd imagine it would make wherever you are doing it at smell like, well, shit. Use adequate ventilation. Just a suggestion, though very obvious.
