oysters - no pics
    #3333129 - 11/08/04 11:46 AM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Yesterday my girlfriends dad pointed out some mushrooms on some oak logs that were stacked... All in all we turned up with around a 3 pound harvest of fresh oysters.... we fried them up in butter and had a wonderful breakfast.... mmmmmmmmm oysters and omlets... Sorry I have no pics, my girlfriends dog chewed up my cameras USB wire about 15 minutes prior to the findings... But as soon as I get a replacement I can update this post... The California mushroom season is starting! I'm so excited!

Also thursday me and some friends located some pretty huge oysters (about a foot across) up high on a dead oak tree... I tried to climb up and retrieve them but it was sketchy, the tree was really weak... By now they would be gone, but they were beauties. I almost creamed my pants when I first saw them.

Good luck out there to anyone hunting edibles.

Woa nice finds. I love oysters, searched for them yesterday with not much luck. All of my spots are dried up.
