A walk in the rainy forest! w/pics
    #1694670 -

Yesterdy my girlfriend and I decided to talk a walk in my forest during a thunderstorm. If you?ve never been in the woods while its raining, you?re missing out! We saw lots of cool plants and animals, and did some smooching under the pine trees ; )

Found these two guys chillin in my front yard before the journey even started.

These guys were all growing on the west side of this tree.

This fat guy was kinda...yellow.

I?ve never seen this fungus in the woods before, maybe some of you know what it is?

Here it is again, except yellow.

These shrooms looked almost translucent...maybe they glow in the dark?

This monster was 8 inches tall!

This stuff was EVERYWHERE in the woods! I took some pics of some large patches of it, but the pics were out of focus. Damn my unstable stoned hands!

And heres some blackberries that are soon to be ripe. I?m blessed to have a forest full of these buggers, so I?m looking forward to some delicious blackberry foods come late July!

And thats all I can upload for now! Hope you guys enjoy the pics, I had a blast taking them! Peace.

Nice pictures, you must be getting lots of rain where you're at, everything so lush and green. We're just getting out of a drought around here, it's taking a while for everything to turn not-brown.

Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures!! I love hiking through the woods with a girl, with yourself or with a friend. Its great. Finding mushrooms is just the icing on the cake!

As you were probably not really interested in ID's, I tried them anyways. Even though there is not enough information on them here are some very basic, guessed ID's.

Nice pictures again, thanks for sharing!!!

#1 - Boletus species
#2 - Trametes species, possibly versicolor
#3 - Not sure
#4 - Clavaria species, maybe Ramaria species
#5 - Same different species
#6 - Not sure
#7 - Amanita species
#8 - They look like Chantrelles from the top, but, hard to identify w/o more information

yeah, pic #8 definitely looks like some sort of chanterelle. Some of them are absolutely delicious, like chantarellus cibarius! It can possibly be that one, but it looks a little bit too thin and translucent. Go get a picture of the gills, it's worth it if it's the right one, i promise!!!

Thanks for the comments guys! And thanks for the ID's, I'm just getting into Identifying mushrooms, so its interesting to see what species I have growing around here.

starfungi: I'll get some pics of the gills tommorrow when I go for another walk. We're going to have some heinous t-storms tonight, so tommorrow should be a good day for shrooms. Peace!

Beautiful pics chunder!  I would love to get a digital camera, go hiking behind my house with my gf, and see what we could find back there. Hopefully we would take pics of some great mushrooms, and if I was lucky maybe I could squirt some of my spores in her substrate!  heheheh

...ehh.. well thats just a little home brewed myco-porno I have been playing back in forthe in my mind! Now its time to go buy a digi-cam!
