This is the last news i heard.
In reply to:
Quote: from Workman on 1:00 am on May 18, 2001[br]Aaron: Just cased a simple substrate of rye grass seed and steer manure compost. ?I am not sure if it will work, but the colonization is good. ?I'll let you know how your weilii turns out.
I butted my head against the wall for two seasons trying to get stuntzii to fruit on woodchips. ?The only reason I finally succeeded was because I was trying to fruit a tentatively identified specimen collected in the Washington. ?I wasn't sure what it was (hoping it was a new species) so I put it on a variety of substrates. ?Bingo! near instant crop of stuntzii on horse manure. ?Not a new species, but finally a way to get this one going outdoors.

The weilii tray contaminated before it would have fruited. I am going to try again with pure horse manure and a cleaner environment.

why would one want stuntzii's they from my picking experience are weak psycoactively speaking, p. cyanecens are much stronger and way better visualy, compared to cubies and stunzii, .. would like to try liberty caps, azures and baeos , as i have not had those yet.

It would be nice to have stuntzii growing in your yard even if they are weak psycoactively.

Oh man. Ignore PF Aaron. He is confused about alot of things. He claimed that the picture of cultivated Psilocybe mexicana in "The Mushroom Cultivator" was a small form of cubensis because it didn't fit the wild description.
Your cultivated weilii is obviously what it is and not Stropharia rugoso-annulata as PF so insightfully claims. You have done amazing work so don't let one ignorant naysayer get you down.
He is also confused about the old B+ controversy. He thinks I promoted it as an azure/cube hybrid when it fact it was sold as a pure warm fruiting azure that I debunked as merely a cubensis. I did say it was a good cubensis but nothing more.

Man, missed this episode. For anyone still wondering, those are for sure 100% Psilocybe weili, for I have picked thousands more specimens than stamets ever saw, and I assure you there is no doubt those are weilii. PF is abesolutly crazy, wine cap stropharia, yeah right :)
