ratings idea

I've always thought that the system of ratings is a little unfair, for the following reason; say someone was handing out bad information in one of the forums, so many people rated that person a 1, and then that person gets annoyed and rates everyone who's rated them a 1 a 1 as well. Well, how about this;

perhaps each rating should have an influence power that would depend on the person who submitted the rating's own rating?

Now, I don't know how complicated this would be to set up, but what do people think? It would just mean that, while everyone would still be able to submit ratings, it would prevent foolish or ignorant people with very low ratings from spamming bad ratings.

What do people think?

I think there should be a counter next to the ratings to tell how many ratings a user actually has.

If you hover with the mouse pointer obove the shrooms, it tells you how many there are.
