too many forums!

i am not sure if it has already been brought up or not, but i think the amount of new forums now detract from the existing ones. I like to play around in one forum for a while and read a diverse range of posts... that way, when i am real bored, i click on threads i would not normally read and it keeps me busy and away from killing small animals... but now with all these forums, i don't have the motivation to switch to one forum about a specific topic. now more small animals will have to die. i don't know... it may be my poor excuse for an attention span, but i don't like to keep moving around...
just my 2 cents...

I agree but I wouldnt want too ditch any of the existing forums, I think they are all worthy - maybe a halt to further expansion might be an idea though..

All the new forums were created for good reason.... Contamination, one of our members had a near death experience with them.. Time we gave that more importance in our discussions.

Polls, hey they are fun, we need some more lightheartedness around here....

Mush Cult Pictures - Mush cult is a very busy forum, this will help with that. Plus now we have a forum for Vendors and individuals to show off their talents.

Security - Another good forum, we need to take our security seriously in a drug community, thats why we got this forum.

deviation if truly switching between forums is too much work, you may consider yourself a pretty lazy person :wink: ... Actually I often just click on the 'Last 24 hours' button and read all posts, I find that better than going into each individual forum.

It would be nice to be able to pick the forums that are displayed instead of just getting the entire list. There are a few forums that I never look in.

I think the contamination forum and the polls forum seem a little unecessary. Contams can be covered in mushroom cult. and polls can be covered in OTD. If someone nearly died because of contams I'd recommend you put a public service announcement on the main page where everyone entering the site will see it. A forum that I'm sure will get very little traffic won't do very much good in my opinion.

Have you seen the volume of mush cult lately? Its too busy. Having a forum dedicated to contams allows people to learn more about them, ask questions, see pics, etc.... If you post about contams in mush cult you post will quickly move to page '2' so then you won't get the kind of attention you hoped for..

Too many forums is mute point, we are expanding the forums to help with the traffic in mush cult, its now the busiest forum and I think most regulars of mush cult will agree these 3 new forums will help slow it down a little

The probably with polls in OTD is the fact that they're not responded too as much as "discussion" topics. So they get buried rather quickly.
