Quite frankly, it won't happen without money. If somebody has millions to make it a reality, then it can be seriously discussed.

dont shoot it down quite yet Captain...a seperate forum/section for Midland will help tremendously in making this a reality.

ofcourse the actualizing of the commune will still have a long ways to go, but this is a BIG START.

like what Doobie said, this would be hard to accomplish in the OTD...soon everyone's ideas will be devour by the other threads.

if there was a seperate section (i dont want to say "forum" because the "section" would also need an intro to the basis of the whole idea), shroomerites will take Midland more seriously because i know i will.

I like the idea. It seems like every month or 2 a new midland(island) idea pops up. We have had some cool threads in the past. Besides dreaming is free. It may be closer than u all think :wink:

the section idea is good also TC.

my only request is that i dont have to bunk up with CG, heh

I think that giving Midland it's own forum is a damn good idea.
Running a commune would be *really* hard, but if we had the forum to channel some of the time and energy we spend on this place into the planning of Midland, we could make some important insights that would make the commune more likely to succeed if and when we create it.

You can now check out the Midlands forum in the BB. I just converted the old Shroomery Gathering forum to the Midlands forum, which is why there are already a hundred threads in it. Later.
