so i've been converting my apartment into a tripper pad right, and i thought i would ask for a few suggestions to really bring things together.
here's what i have so far glow in the dark stars's, hanging from the celing, about 6-12" down, various lenghts, with the entire solar system (glow in the dark/black light reactant) thruout the roof, liquid light projector, 2 black lights, lavalamp, gd wall hanging, tie dye wall hangings (2 dead bears, 1 mushroom), colored light bulb fixture (3 lamps different directions), various wall hangins.
i feel that it's just missing something, (beanbags are in the process of finding for cheap). so let's hear some suggestions. cant paint he walls
oh yea, i also have a lsd molecule painted in black light paint that's hanging in space as well.

I once turned my bedroom into a trip room. The best thing to do for starters is to paint the entire thing (walls, celing, doors, everything) flat black. Even cover the window with foil and paint that black also. Then hang some black light bars along the edges of the celing with reflectors to deflect you from seeing the bulbs directly but project the light along the walls and celing. Then, anything you hang on the walls or paint on the walls with flourecent paint will look as if it is floating in space. I spent many nights lying in my room visualizing that I was floating through space. It was great! It also helped that I had no furniture in that room. Just a matress on the floor where I slept. And also, the carpet was dark brown (it was an old ass house with ugly decor) which added to the dark, "spacey" feel after the lights were out. ....I miss that room... edit- I know you said you can't paint the walls. I'm just letting you know what works well if you get the chance.

Re: beanbags..
I went to WalMart to find 'em, they only had a huge $50 one with a buncha holes in it and it looked like someone dragged it across the store.
I went to Target, a little smaller, $25 each, wide assortment of colors. They probably still have them, I think they stock them in droves when college kids go shoppin for their dorms

hmm, interesting about the bean bags,
yea, my buddy has had his walls flat black for years, that shit is DARK. never tripped there, but i know that's what i will do when i get a house, paint flat black, then paint white under what i'm going to paint in flourescent, so that it sticks out hella cool.
where can i get a fiber optic lamp for cheap?

I know you can't paint the walls but if you could this would be a great idea but so far it sounds cool to me ............ I used to have my room painted all balck except the base boards and where The celing met the walls. The base boards and where the celing met the wall was painted floursecent orange!!!! I also Had Black lights for light bulbs. When you turned the black lights on and got stoned you would think you were floating in space. Espically after I put up all the little stars that GLOW IN THE DARK. YEAH !!!!!!!! Have a shroomy day all !!!!!!!!

Flat Black Walls than sponge paint of some different black light sensitive of flourescent paints on top thats what I have been considering doing. But the best place for tripping IMO is outdoors. Nothing man made can compare with nature.

yea, nature is definetly more trippy, but you can get into some serious mental psychedellia goin on in a cool pad. and nature isnt always possible at night in the winters of washington, it's fucking hella cold outside. i tripped in the snow once, it was definetly a very enlightening trip, clear sky with snow on the ground, stars shinning, but my feet were fucking cold as hell. i was only out there for like an hour, but it rocked. i'm in an apartment now, so i cant just cruise around.
i just had an idea, i'm going to get some rolls of paper, and then hang them on the wall lightly, then paint them... and i've always wanted to spongepaint

And Its cool to have a cool place to wind down your trip in even if you were out side for most the trip. I gota get some money and buy some tapestrys and shit.

a sound system..preferrably with speakers you can position in different spots around the room. it's got to have sufficient, distinctive bass. house plants are trippier than you think. get some of those.
