Help me out with an idea for my paper.

I have to write a compare and contrast paper and it can be over anything I want.

Well, I am having trouble coming up with something interesting to compare and constrast.

Any ideas?

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

I have a few ideas. You could compare how movies like The Passion and Kill Bill both contain extreme levels of violence, but how they use it to completely different effects. Once I was thinking of how Kill Bill represented the current post-modern state of affairs where violence is purely stylistic, but also how the Passion is like post-post modern because it is ultra-violent, but has a definate anti-postmodern moral theme.

Also I think Mormonism and Islam would be very interesting. Even though today they are completely different they share a surprising number of similarities.

Maybe also you could compare a Horatio Alger story to a modern film or story and see how the "strive and succeed" ideas have taken hold, developed and changed in society.

Just the family dynamics, attitudes of the father & mother in each; how that informs dealing with their children.  I don't know.  And they're fairly high-visibility culture-wise.  Won't have to explain much to put things in context to make a point in your paper.  :shrug: :rockon:
