Fresh Salvia

I want to grow some Salvia plants and I was wondering, since the indians used to use it, if the fresh leaves are more potent than the dried leaves? Or if not, is it easier to extract the fresh picked leaves than the dried leaves? Also, what should the growing conditions be temp wise and light wise?

Fresh leaves or leaves dried semi quickly are fine and have negligible potency differences. For extractions it's about preference, no one is probably easier than the other (fresh vs dried).
