front and bottom left side cakes are the tapalpas...

front-right is an ecuador cake... syringe from PF

bottom-right is a pf classic cake... syringe also from PF

yeah, they started to grow invitro, and the terrarium wasn't ready at that time... just now birthed... but they should turn out ok hopefully..

The bottom part is probably just the top vermiculite layer. It will do find like that.

indeed the bottom you see was the top of the jar where the vermiculite was.

i wasn't sure if i should scrape off all the vermiculite. it seemed to be stuck to the cake fairly well, and i didn't want to scrape any part of the cake off while trying to get the verm completely.

should i scrape off all the vermiculite next time?

also, quick question... what is the average length of the fruiting period? a week? two weeks? i guess it depends on how many flushes you get, but what i mean is... how long until i should worry about the cakes if they aren't pinning/fruiting? the ecuador cake was birthed with no apparent pins but 100% colonization...

dont scrape the Verm off... theres no need at all. the cakes will do just fine.
