Why can't Psych majors get jobs? I really wanna major in it

Psych is the only thing left at this school that interests me, but it's the most worthless degree one can have. Why? Isn't there any way to get around this?

I could probably get a Masters..I'll bet that would help.

Yeah, get your masters and be a psychologist. It really isn't useless if you use it. :laugh:

Psych. majors are only (near) useless on the BA level. A Master's can do more therapy oriented work, but a PhD is better, and of course, a MD is best overall in terms of pay & being able to prescribe medications.

Does anyone know if there is a level below MD that can still prescribe medication? I know there is, but I forget what it's called and know none of the details.

Get real, there are no jobs for anyone except medicine.  You'll be in the bucket with the rest of us. I'm poli-sci major, and if i can get into grad school thats what i'll be doing, otherwise i'll probably end up writing a 3 paragraph column for the local paper about sewage draining or some crap.  If i get into law, then ACLU will have a new lawyer. :smile:)DD
