"Psych-Out" was originally released in 1968 and stars Jack Nicholson. Strawberry Alarm Clock did a song called "Pretty Song" especially for this film.
"The Trip"(1967), directed by Roger Corman, stars Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper. This movie has been described as an hour and a half advertisement for LSD. Most likely the only reason that it was able to be released was because the end was changed so that the moral was that LSD will ruin your life.
I would like to see both of these psychedelic relics. Maybe one day I will. Both disks are only $12.95.
i own "the trip" on vhs...not the best special (psychedelic) effects but they did not have much to work with back then...its just about a guy who needs a mental cleansing that goes to his friends house and drops some L...its all about his trip...he is amazed by the most simple things at times and then he trips out and think hes gonna die...his friend is his tripsitter who keeps him calm most of the time...glad to hear that it being remastered to dvd....my version was bought off ebay and was from an old movie rental place..still a cool movie to get an insight about what people thought about psychedelics back then...thanks for the heads up Leary...your always on top of the new releases of music/movies......
