Poll: Do you suspect federal involvement in 9/11?
    #3130082 - 09/13/04 02:37 PM (19 years, 6 months ago)

I was never really one to visit this forum much at all until recently..and I must say I was pretty surprised to see that there appears to be a fairly high number of people here who seem to have alot of trust for those we have supposedly put into power. Not that I have anything against this, but to tell you the truth, I did expect to find significantly more 'activists' rather than supporters of the current administration, especially on a BBS surrounding a general theme of psychedelics.

For those of you who do have alot of trust for the current administration, may I ask..why? And, just out of curiosity, is it possible to get a rough idea of how many people who fall into this category may have been trained in the Millitary? I have not, so I am just wondering how much that sort of experience may contribute to a persons outlook on the system. Would it even make a difference?

How about those who do not have much faith and/or trust in the government(s) and the direction they seem to be leading us toward? Are there any particular reasons why you might not be an advocate of their initiatives?
well, were they?
You may choose only one

Depends what you classify as "involvement." I don't think the administration was involved in planning the 9/11 attacks. Al Queda bears full responsibility for that. However, I find myself becoming more and more suspicious that the government was complicit with the attacks, i.e. they knew it was coming and did little if anything to stop it.

I think I'd probably classify that as some degree of 'involvement'..

lets look at the facts..in chronological order...we begin with afghanistan in the 1980s.. OBL used to work for the CIA..and whose to say that hes not still working for the CIA??...fast-forward now to 2000...rebuilding americas' defenses was written exactly one year before 9/11..by the PNAC..a neocon stink-tank whose membership heavily overlaps the bush administration...on p51 can be found the infamous "new pearl harbour" clause ..

Quote:

Further, the process of transformation,
even if it brings revolutionary change, is
likely to be a long one, absent some
catastrophic and catalyzing event ? like a
new Pearl Harbor.

in other words..they were waiting for a 9/11 to happen...and then on 6 august 2001..bush receives the PDB memo nebulously entitled "bin laden determined to strike in US"...

rewind..and you get ..bush knew that an attack was coming.. his advisors had forseen the opportunity that such an attack would provide (and as such had very little incentive to stop it).. and all the while there has been this long history of US govt collaboration with the purported enemy..OBL...

short of screaming "conspiracy"..put all that together and one cant help but smell a rat...

EDIT ..and i should also point out that the 9/11 comission failed to ask the key question in any investigation ..who stands to gain the most from the crime??...

George W. wasn't doing so hot prior to 9/11 (still isn't, but that's beside the point) he spent lots of time on vacation, an dwas pretty weak. 9/11 allowed him to move forward with many things he probbaly wanted to do (iraq, patriot act) but had no real chance of getting them to pass.

yeah..not to mention the fact that it happened on a date with the signature 9/11..that almost suggests to me it was probably planned to work out as a big mind game. 911! 911! everywhere. why not sept 2nd, or october 31st? must be a coincidence? Al Queada making that extra effort to ensure the media in the U.S. could ingrain those 'spine-chilling' numbers in as many peoples heads as possible.

I guess those of you that voted 'not possible' might say the mainstream news must also be a big part of this outrageous conspiracy theory huh?

A few things you forgot about on your timeline up there ^^^

Immediatly after the september 11 attacks bin ladens family living in the U.S was hastily escorted home by Federal authorities, without ever being detained or questioned.

Not to mention all the hijackers were saudi arabian, a country with a close and longstanding alliance with america.

In addition, look at americas response to 9/11. They immediatly attack Iraq, by blowing up massive fear and anger in people with catch phrases, religious zeal and falsified information, and then uses this to send our troops to iraq.

Iraq? has nothing to do with 9/11. So why did we go there? for oil obviously, but it shows that if the american government didnt plan 9/11 then they certainly knew EXACTLY what to do to exploit it for money and oil.

It's incredible that no matter how full the history books get with corrupt rulers and governments, massive betrayals and continuous exploitation and deciet to the people, the people always say 'but not here, never here. were different'

and i dont blame them. People are to fucked up trying to deal with their regular mundane lives and problems. The last thing they want to do is start worrying about their government sacraficing thousands of its civilians for profit, or the idea that their news is lieing to them everyday.

What we forget is that the truly powerfull hold that governments have on the populace is that people need something to blindly rely on. Its a mirror of the God situation in a lot of ways. People need to believe that someone up their is taking care of things in the name of the average joe. Which is bullshit but they'll burn you on the cross before they accept that

It's not what the Bush administration gains, it's what the corporations that control the Bush administration gain.

Immediatly after the september 11 attacks bin ladens family living in
the U.S was hastily escorted home by Federal authorities, without
ever being detained or questioned.

What do you mean by immediately? Air traffic was grounded on Sept.
11 an 12. On the 13, the Saudi government flew some of its citizens
out of the country. All of those Saudi citizens went through
checks to determine if they were "people of interest"(this is
in the 9/11 report).

Also, Bin Laden's family is huge(his father had a gazillion children),
and in general they have disowned him.

Not to mention all the hijackers were saudi arabian, a country with a
close and longstanding alliance with america.

15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis. The Saudi royal family has
longstanding ties with Americans. The Saudi people do not.

In addition, look at americas response to 9/11. They immediatly
attack Iraq, by blowing up massive fear and anger in people with
catch phrases, religious zeal and falsified information, and then
uses this to send our troops to iraq.

The terrorist attacks happened on Sept. 11, 2001. Iraq was invaded
in the Spring of 2003. That doesn't sound immediate to me.

well if direct blood relatives of osama bin laden didnt count as people if interest no one does.

"Also, Bin Laden's family is huge(his father had a gazillion children),

he didnt have a gazillion children, and no matter how many their were youd think the FBI/CIA might take the time to investigate all of them in a matter of as much importance as 9/11, when to all logical reasoning they must have been the most likely people to have relevant information.

"15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis. The Saudi royal family has
longstanding ties with Americans. The Saudi people do not."

i see. So in order to make that connection we have to wait for the saudi royal family themselves to fly into a building? You cant try to disconnect the royal family from the populace.

Depends on your view of time i guess. It takes some work to launch a war
