My Cheese Steak Is Better Than Yours.
    #3092710 -

I could Teatch you but Id have to charge...

Awwww hell.. this one is free..

I took pics and went through the trouble of shaveing choics londion broil and carmalizing yellow onions, only to burn the fuck out of the bread.

Worst part is... I had everything but the bread and made a special trip to the store JUST for the bread... Im not going again.

2Lb london broil frozen.

2 large yellow onions

minced garlic

bread rolls

Kraft American Cheese

Partialy thaw the london broil and shave into thin slices cross the grain.

In a skillet carmalize onions with 2tbsp butter and three tbsp olive oil. Carmalizing onions makes them sweet and tasty..

Add the garlic and saute for a minute and then add the meat. Season to taste abd your filling is done..

Here is the tricky part... Toast the bread under the broiler without burning it.. Lay two slices of american cheese on the bread and slop on the meat.

Mushrooms are great in this too.

That Kraft sliced American cheese isn't what I think it is is it? That processed shit you get on burgers??? :wtf: Yuck! :projectile:

Give me roquefort, mature farmhouse cheddar (the proper stuff without the orange food coloring) or any other real cheese for that matter.

I dont remember what kind of bread but I like a crusty bread.. Soft breads get soggy and I dont like hard breads. Something in the middle.

A Philly Cheesesteak is not a Cheesesteak without Cheez Whiz. It sounds nasty, but you gotta stay true to the original.

No, there are two preferred cheeses used in Philly. Cheeze Wizz on chipped ribeye on an Amoroso roll, or my personal favorite, Provolone. Saute chipped meat, onions and mushrooms. When done, lay slices of Provolone cheese over the mound (elongated to fit the Amoroso roll). When the cheese melts lay an opened (slice lengthwise) roll over the meat. Slip a spatula under the upside down sandwich and flip over. Yummy. You can also add sauce. Usually a marinara type sauce. You can stick it under the broiler if you want, but it's not necessary or commonly done.

Cheesesteak hoagies are great too!

i personally prefer the cheese wizz, since it's t he original and provologne tends to be a bit drier, even when melted in with the meat, it really doesn't stay liquidy as long as I'd like it to.
