Dude this kinda sucks, my whole life I lived on the west coast...and the month I move to Orlando I get pummeled by two hurricanes. I don't think I'm meant to be here.

Hey i moved to florida right before hurricane andrew wooped my ass. You get used to it. Then you sorta enjoy it, as long as your place doesn't get totaled.

sometimes you guys amaze me...I know this isnt the OTS so you are being semi serious.


this storm is a BIG DEAL.. Have any of you guys that are making light of it comming your way seen Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Arcadia, Lake wales...etc since the storm???

Its freaking hell hole...I've been doing work in those places and if you guys are NOT going to prepare I wish you the best of luck and hope theres not a body bag with your name on it.


This Storm is huge..the water we are all gonna get is bad enough but if you take a direct hit near hit I really hope you are prepared.

don't take this lightly, and if some of you live with your parents , please make them aware if they are taking it lightly.

watch the forcasts, be aware, help your family and neighbors...you made need their help as well...

please be safe

i think the main thing we woulda have to worry about is flying trees since we live in the woods

but other than that im relatively safe in this house

...this big heavy log cabin aint goin no wheres


the neighbors and my many friends however live in trailers

I've seen 140' yachts thrown 300'...tractor trailers blown around like toys...

make sure you are safe ..if you get 100+mph winds the uplift on your roof could be great...know where in your house is the safest

The forecast says im going to take a direct hit. Which means 140+ winds.... We've been putting metal shutters up all day. But I'm worried about the roof because we have skylights. They are definatley going to blow out from all the pressure. And then those little holes are gonna cause a weird balance of pressure and most likely rip my whole roof off. Damn time to go out and get a big emergency stash lol.

I finally just got power back after a week of no power. Everyones houses are fine but the landscape here has drastically changed. My backyard is gone. Trees have no leaves left and most of them fell down. But everyones ok so i'm happy. But now were gonna get hit by Ivan soon and im afraid the powers going to go out once again. Plus theres another hurricane after this one....This blows ass.

But everywhere I look there is big fairy circles. Like maybe 30 feet across they are humongous.
