I thought I read some place that you are not suppose to use beef cow manure-now i can't find it now so maybe I didn't but could someone answer this ??-I just bought 50lbs. of steer beef cow manure

in fact you are supposed to use cow and horse dung, combined with straw, gypsum, and some other chemicals i think. then you let a shitload of this ferment in your back yard, and after some time you end up having finest grade compost. if you're really interested, pm me and i'll send you the recipe. it's from some edibles book, so you can trust it.

I think that fresh cow poo is harder to work with than fresh horse poo. I can get workable poo straight from the horse's ass. Fresh cow manure is usually pretty sloppy and high in amonia. Having said that, if you could get your hands on some dried cow piles, you would have the shit.
