pf tek yeilds so far......

pf tek,started w/23 jars currntly have 18 left(lost some cakes during fruiting process) .they've been flushing for three weeks now.how many flushes should i expect i beleive im on fourth for a few already.what r signs of a cake that is soon going to be spent(no more flushes)?i have roughly harvested 45 dry grams is this good bad or excellent.i am a newb and this is with out a doubt the most rewarding hobby that i have ever had.i currently have three mycobags fruiting and just took one out from a dunk and then rolled cant wait for the results! :cool:.THANX EVERYONE JIM

well... you could do alot better.

I can average 7 to 8 dry grams per cake on the first flush.
With smaller flushes following.

I never bother with 4th flushes...its a waste of space imho.
Spent cakes will stop flushing or only have a few small mushrooms.

Great to here about your success budro1!
I remember answering some of your questions when you first started out.
Your yields sound good to me,and the fact that you have gotten four flushes from some of your cakes says a great deal about your methods so far. I think that after this first go at it you should look into doing a couple of casings as the yields are much better and although the initial prep is a little more work, the growth perameters are a little easier to maintain.

thank you,did try to case three cakes w/no success.I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY YIELDS CONSIDERING I HAVE NOT SEEN A MUSHROOM IN TEN YEARS
