PF Tek Yield?

Hey,
Im pretty new to this, I bought one kit and figured out it was doody monster. So I ordered the beginners kit from Dr Bluethumb, which by the way is awesome with customer care, but it says not to ask him about growing phycedelic mushrooms to come here. Well I dont have any questions about growing them considering I went threw the PF Tek like 100 times, but I never saw how much mushrooms come from each cake in any tek? If some one could give me an estimate from using the PF Tek with the 1/2 pint jars and the brown rice flour/vermiculite substrate of how much (grams) come from each cake, dry weight preferably but wet weight would help me get an idea too.
sorry for such a newbie question but im a newbie, and have been looking around FAQs and Teks and have yet to find an answer.

anywhere from 0 to 6 grams dry.
anything over 6 grams dry is a blessing.

Is that 0-6 grams dry for 1 flush or are you including all flushes?

yeah per first flush...on cakes.
I have gotten more than 7 grams dry per first flush...on cakes.
but that is optimal growth....with the right conditions.
I really think that when you get huge flushes on 1st and 2nd flushes that the nutrients are going to be used up faster.....so your 3rd or 4th flush will be really small......big fruits with smaller yeild....IMO
I hardly ever go after a 4th flush off a cake.....not worth my time and space.

In my experience I have found that the most common PF Tek. first-flush yeild is about 3 grams dry with secondary flushes being slightly less each time. The secondary mushrooms are defently bigger. If you are using any sort of incubator i'de suggest you dunk the cakes pre-first-flush for increased yeilds. A PF will almost always have enough nutrients to grow fruit bodies but, in my experience, not nearly have enough water. Those magic mushrooms are 90% water....give them lots of water and you will prevail.

vaugely off-topic, but for a first-time cultivation of 12 1/2 pint jars under relatively clean enviroments (inoculation and fruiting), what is the typical prevalence of contamination? (ie: should one expect to lose 3/12 jars due to accidental/inexperienced contamination?

Old thread is old, but I'll try to answer this.
Your main concern with PF jars is either improper sterilization to start with, or introducing contams when you inoculate. So if you do both of those correctly, 0 jars failing is likely. Or if you don't, you might lose all 12. But losing 1 or 2 is less likely. In my opinion, at least.
