Karo Tek (yellow?)

I just PCed some karo water last night. No smaller jars so I used a quart jar and a pickle jar. Two holes in the top, with a tyvek filter. I pced without tinfoil though and I think water may have gotten in as its kinda the piss color that grains are when you soak them and I soak mine in my PC so I'm thinking water went in? Does Karo turn yellow? It's Light Karo with REAL Vanilla :smile: Do I need to do it again? Should I get smaller jars? Can I use more karo water in a a jar or will it just take to long to colonize? Should I make a new batch or are these ok? And what sort of place would sell syringes? I'm asking about local just so I dont have to wait for them to be delivered but a online source would be good as well..

the kayro may have caramelized, it good for producing mutants...

15 minutes in the PC at 15psi is good for sterilizing it

Oops, ran mine with my grain for about an hour and 15 minutes. I'd bet your right about the carmilizing then. Interesting about mutants...I think I will keep some of it then and put something in one of the jars.

What about jar size? does it matter how full it is? And how about the filter? Is gas exchange needed? Polyfil? Tyvek? I can get whatever I need to do it right but I want to do it right ya know :smile:

I always use tyvek for filtration and the experimentation with a 'failed' project is a great way to learn things... I say go for it and if you can, experiment with cloning the mutant fruits

1.25hrs. at 15lbs. Ya carmelized alright should work fine for your apples! :wink: :lol: sorry me bad :frown: :wink: Just tape hole, shake jars for aeration of the solution and lift tape every few days to release any gas build up. Karo is way easy is it should be.
