Recipe for Full Pint Jars

I've been asking around on the text chat for awhile, but can't seem to find the answer to this. Can anyone post the recipe for making PF Jars with widemouth FULL pint-jars? I can only seem to find recipes for halfpint, and when I ask around people just say "double it"

I was wondering if anyone could actually post the ingredients (using measuring cups, not ML or CC's) because I'm all ready to go, I just need the recipe. Thanks :smile:

Well, and they are right.
1 cup is 236 ml

The classic formula for a 1/2 pint jar:
1/8 cup of brown rice powder (Health food stores and co-ops)
1/2 - 2/3 cup of horticultural vermiculite (medium grade) (garden centers and hardware)
40-45 cc's (milliliters) of water or (a little less than 1/4 cup) (1&1/2 ounces) (3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon)

Maximum fruiting formula for a 1/2 pint jar:
1/4 cup of brown rice powder
1/2 cup of vermiculite
45 - 60 cc's water


"The water is the crucial element that variates the results. The different brands of vermiculite varies creating differing moisture levels. So as already stated in the PF TEK, one should always vary the water amount, take notes and compare results. The "MAX" water content can really make a great fruiting and give several flushes when the balance between the substrate elements is good."


Now do the math.

so that means that a 2/3 cup of verm becomes 1 1/3 cups, right?
and 1/4 a cup of water and brown rice becomes a 1/2 cup of each, right?

Experiment  ,I also use rye grass seed And millit to make flour's.

kramer says if your doing pints make sure to use lots of spore fluid if you don't want to wait forever for them to colonize also if time is essential to you ,you could put an inch or two of dry verm on the bottom of the jar as well.if this is your first grow kramer stongly recommends the bottom layer

were my calculations correct?

2/3 a cup becomes 1 1/3
1/4 becomes a 1/2
