I have found that it is not necessary to have a perfectly air tight box. And in your design you could have just flipped the whole thing over and not done the saranwrap. What my glove box consists of is a rubbermaid w/ no modifications. I wear gloves that I wipe down with alcohol and spray some lysol around in the box. My box is inverted like I suggested you do and I just put my arms in with lhe box lifted slightly. No contams wit nooooo problems.

the gloves in my box do not reach everywhere I need to be and in the strugle to reach the stuff in the back of the box I end up fucking everything up, knocking things over.....sliding the box and breaking the air seal etc. I need more room!!!

A simple yet elegant solution, P's D, is that tube an air source to provide a bit of positive pressure, or is it just the ventilation for when you use that aquarium as a terrarium:)(just a guess)

Heh, actually... it is just a 'hawk tank' flipped upside down.... i've got a 'duel action' blower that I am going to mount on top of this set up....to make it a 'flow hood', but I dont think I want to use THIS tank, since it is 1/4 inch glass... very expensive fish tank. So the tube going to the bubble stone was/is just for airiation under the perlite.... has a classic 'hawk tank' lid also :)
