invitro question..

when growing, do you have the bottom or the side with dry verm facing up( the jar flipped upside down so the bottom is up)?

I wouldnt do verm and invitro at the same time because then you will get that shit all over your fruits...thats just me though.

I dont think it matters which way you point your jar.

Those will be small jars to do invitro, its usually meant for grains.. Not sure if it'll work but..good luck

so people do not usually use the invitro tek for brf jars? i was under the impression that is what alot of people do when doing invitro? wont growing invitro brf cakes basicly be the same as fruiting in a terrerium except that it is in a jar instead of a fruiting chamber?

Accidently had some invitro brf pints(verm up). As stated by DieCommie, the verm gets all over the fruits. Works, but looks odd.

Yeah it would be the same as fruiting in a terrerium EXCEPT THAT IT IS IN A JAR INSTEAD OF A FRUITING CHAMBER. Where do you want your mushrooms to go? You'd really kill your yeild like that. Plus the verm is another good point, you dont want to eat verm and if you grow them invitro, you will most likly.

your supposed to take the verm layer out when ur jar fully colonizes so there is more room for shrooms to grow. then you set the jars upsidedown on the lids. alot of false info here about invitro.

im sorry i should have been more clear, i removed the dry verm at the top, the side with verm i was referring to is the side that has a tiny bit of verm left that is stuck to the cake from where the dry layer was during incubation. other than some pieces stuck to the cake, the only verm is inside the cake(mixed with brf).

also, by growing this way, i dont see how you would be eating anymore verm than if you fruited in a grow chamber, and that invitro tek link someone posted calls for using brf and verm, not grain.
