bump bump does anyone else have experience with um-mature mushrooms that have halted growth for no apparent reason? they are larger than any abort i have ever seen///

If the mushrooms have completely halted growth then you know you have a problem. I highly doubt it has anything to do with humidity. If you're not fanning enough, fan more. Mushrooms produce a hell of a lot of co2 and it needs to be depleted as often as possible. But even this wont cause a complete halt of growth in Psilocybe cubensis.

If it's halted growth and changing colors then it's most likely a contaminant of some kind, but since it's a cake, I doubt this also. The most likely of all causes, however, is probably impatience. Give it more time. You will know exactly what's wrong, if anything, in a day or two.
